Fiorentina co-founded Tec-Check, the first civil society organization in Mexico dedicated exclusively to the protection and defense of consumer rights in the digital economy. Tec-Check works to promote transparency in e-commerce, demand accountability from authorities and businesses, and support consumers in collectively enforcing their rights. Since 2022, it has been a member of Consumers International, the global network of consumer associations, and in 2025 it joined the Advisory Council of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) in Mexico. Fiorentina holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2020, she was awarded the Global Governance Academy Fellowship by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
